Boards & Commissions

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is authorized by Section 5.2 of the Charter to establish, amend, and abolish Advisory and Appeal Boards or Commissions as necessary. All such Boards and Commissions operate in accordance with adopted rules of procedures and prescribed duties delegated by the City Council.

Board and Commission members must have been residents of the City for not less than one year at the time of appointment unless otherwise provided for in Section 5 of the Charter.  All Board and Commission members serve without compensation.

Board and Commission meetings are open to the public and copies of all records and minutes are available for inspection at City Hall.

KEEP WOODLAND PARK BEAUTIFUL COMMITTEE OPENINGS

 

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons interested in serving as a member on the City’s Keep Woodland Park Beautiful Committee. There are a total of three positions open at this time. All interested applicants must be available to meet on the first Monday evening of each month.

BOARD OF REVIEW COMMITTEE OPENINGS

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons who are interested in serving as an alternate member on the City’s Board of Review Committee. Interested applicants must meet the requirements for the opening; must be at least eighteen years old; and possess qualifications that are compatible with the Committee’s purpose and authority.  Applicants must be available to meet on the first Monday of each month.  The term of office for this open position will expire on January 15, 2017.

Application forms are available on the City’s website www.city-woodlandpark.org or at City Hall, 220 West South Avenue in Woodland Park.  Completed applications must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office; may be personally delivered to the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall; delivered by FAX at 719-686-1010; or delivered by mail to the City Clerk at PO Box 9007, Woodland Park, CO 80866 not later than 5PM on Thursday, December  31, 2015.

UTILITIES ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons who are interested in serving as a member on the City’s Utilities Advisory Committee.  There are three vacancies and two alternate terms on this Committee that expire on May 31, 2018.  Interested applicants must meet the requirements for the opening; must be at least eighteen years old; and possess qualifications that are compatible with the Committee’s purpose and authority, and must also reside in Teller County.  Applicants must be available to meet on the second Tuesday of each month.

DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The City Council of the City of Woodland Park is accepting applications from persons who are interested in serving as a member on the City’s Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors.  Three terms on this Board are will expire on June 30, 2016.    Interested applicants must reside, be a business lessee, or own real property in the Downtown Development District in the City of Woodland Park.  In addition, an officer or director of a corporation having its place of business in the District is also eligible to serve on this Board.  Applicants must be available for meetings when called, and usually in the morning.  The terms of these offices will expire on June 30, 2020.
