Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is comprised of two Sergeants and fourteen Patrol Officers.

 

 

 

Sgt. Leibbrand

Prior to becoming a Police Officer, Sgt. Leibbrand attended Western State College In Gunnison, CO where he earned his Bachelors in Sociology and a Bachelors in Psychology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. While working on his degree, Andy volunteered with the Western State College Mountain Rescue Team. Also while attending college, Sgt. Leibbrand interned with the Gunnison Police Department and later got a part time job with them as a Code Enforcement Officer. Since becoming a Police Officer, Sgt. Leibbrand has served as a Patrol Officer, Teen Court Judge, Patrol Corporal and Emergency Response Team (ERT/SWAT) member. Sgt. Leibbrand is a radar instructor, field training officer and assists with the reserve program. Sgt. Leibbrand has been with the Woodland Park Police Department since 2011 and was promoted to Sergeant in January 2015.

Sgt. Holzwarth

Sgt. Ryan Holzwarth attended Pikes Peak Community College and graduated with an Associate’s degree in 2003 in Criminal Justice. Ryan then attended the Pikes Peak Regional Law Enforcement Academy and graduated in 2006 while earning Dean’s List Honors for Academic Performance. Ryan was a member of the Cripple Creek Police Department 2006-2013 and earned the ranks of Corporal and Patrol Sergeant while employed there. Ryan is a Firearms and Tactics Instructor, Smith and Wesson/ AR-15 Armorer, TASER Instructor, and FTO (Field Training Officer) coordinator.

Sgt. Holzwarth has recently taken over the training program for the Woodland Park Police Department. Sgt. Holzwarth has been with the Woodland Park Police Department since 2013 and was promoted to Sergeant in December of 2014.

Sergeant Ryan Holzwarth and Sergeant Andy Leibbrand lead the patrol officers in providing the City of Woodland Park 24 hour protection of life and property, prevention of crime, traffic enforcement, accident investigation and prevention, and community relations.
