Communications

Your Woodland Park Communications team is made up of eight Dispatchers working together to provide 24-hour customer service. The team answers 911 for Police, Fire, and Medical, as well as all non-emergent calls. The team also answers radio traffic and dispatches the necessary units to calls for service.

All dispatchers are trained in emergency medical dispatching and attend an extensive training program. Often times, there is only one dispatcher on shift at time, causing them to be the only one available to answer multiple phone lines and radios. Our dispatchers are well trained and equipped to handle these stressful situations, and the team handles around 31,000 calls for service each year.
