Candidate for City Council of Woodland Park, Colorado
2024 Municipal Election
My name is Jeffrey Geer, and I’m running for a seat on the Woodland Park City Council because the future of this community is not guaranteed. We have serious challenges both short and long term that need serious solutions from serious people with input from the community. What we absolutely do not need are outside agendas that seek to divide us by prioritizing their goals over ours, thus turning neighbor against neighbor. We need to come together, now more than ever, to solve these challenges while maintaining a positive attitude and a sense of collaboration among all of us.
I am extremely positive and bullish about our future, but I need everyone’s help in order make that a reality. No issue is so small or too big to be solved, you just have to have the willingness to do so. The willingness to listen to other ideas, and as unfortunate as this may be, the willingness to be wrong. Community engagement is key to all of this and everyone’s voice should be heard, always. If you elect me to the City Council I can promise you I have no hidden agenda from any outside influences and I’ll work tirelessly to include as many as want to be included in every decision that we make. I won’t always be perfect, but I will always be accountable. I will continue to encourage an open dialog on all things and be available to the community as needed. My door will always be open. I believe very strongly in inclusiveness and giving everyone an opportunity to be heard. I’ll also always be honest and open with you on how I think and feel about any given subject item that’s come before the City Council for a discussion. You may not always agree with me, but you will never be made to feel like you can’t voice that disagreement with me either.
I look forward to serving the people of Woodland Park, and I mean all people, regardless of whether you voted for me or not.
