It’s a going to be a good season for youth baseball in Woodland Park!
This donation comes as a result of CC&V's new safety award program. The program was created to recognize outstanding safety leadership by its employees. This year, the Safe Leader Award went to Jake Behunin, Drill Services Supervisor. As part of his award, Jake got to choose one organization to receive a donation from Newmont's CC&V mine. Jake chose to support our youth baseball program!
As a baseball dad and coach, Jake believes in the importance of organized sports as a way to teach life skills to our youth. All of Jake's kids have participated in at least one of our sports programs. This year, hundreds of our baseball players will be playing with brand new bats, gloves, balls, and helmets - all thanks to this donation!
We'd like to extend a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to CC&V mine and Jake Behunin for their support of Parks and Recreation. Your generosity will be felt for years to come!
