[ARCHIVED] Fireworks & Drone Show Update

Symphony Drone Show Update

We have some electrifying news to share! The City of Woodland Park will again host an extraordinary Drone Show at the July 5th musical event! Get ready to witness another year of stunning displays of light, color, and innovation in the sky!   After years of canceled fireworks displays due to numerous extenuating circumstances, including the threat of wildfires, the City excitedly embraced a proposal for a patriotic drone show in 2022, and these are just a few of the reasons we are thrilled to continue to offer this unique patriotic experience:

  • Safety First: Drones offer a significantly safer alternative to traditional fireworks. Wildfires are a constant threat to our community and the surrounding National Forest. By eliminating the risks associated with pyrotechnics, we can ensure the well-being of our community.
  • Environmental Friendly: We are committed to being responsible stewards of our environment. By choosing drones over fireworks, we can reduce air pollution and minimize the impact on wildlife and the ecosystem. It's a win-win for our community and the planet!
  • Welcoming to All: Those with hearing impairments can fully experience the visual magic, and individuals (and pets!) sensitive to loud noises can enjoy the celebration with less discomfort. It's a celebration that unites our community.

Mark your calendars for the Symphony Above the Clouds, July 5, 2023, and gather your family and friends for an unforgettable musical experience! Don't forget to bring blankets, chairs, and your patriotic spirit to the designated viewing area at Woodland Park Middle School.
