[ARCHIVED] Woodland Park Community Survey

Woodland Park Community Survey post

Take the 2023 Woodland Park Community Survey

The National Community Survey (NCS) is a comprehensive survey conducted by municipalities and administered by the National Research Center, Inc. (NRC), an independent research firm, in organizational partnership with Polco. The NCS assesses various aspects of community life, including public safety, transportation, housing, parks, education, and community engagement. This survey is designed to provide Woodland Park City officials with valuable feedback and data to understand how our community perceives current services and to identify areas that require improvement. City Council and staff will use this information for strategic planning, service improvement, annual budget planning, and more. Your participation in this survey is vital to helping us understand the priorities and needs of our community!

FAQs

What is Polco? Polco is the survey platform the City of Woodland Park uses to administer the National Community Survey to our community.

What is the National Community Survey (NCS)? The National Community Survey (NCS) is a comprehensive survey conducted by municipalities and administered by the National Research Center, Inc. The NCS assesses various aspects of community life, including public safety, transportation, housing, parks, education, and community engagement.

Why do I have to register to take the survey? Requiring registration ensures we only have one response per person, resulting in more accurate data.

What does Polco do with my personal information (name, email, and ZIP code)? Why am I asked for it? Will my personal information be sold or shared? Polco uses your ZIP code - and, after continued use, your name - to verify your residency against publicly available voter information in your state. When you participate on Polco, all personally identifiable information will be safe, never shared, and never associated with the input you provide. Polco’s privacy policy (located here, for reference) is very strict and designed to protect your information. Email addresses are kept separate from the survey responses and are not tied to any data that we receive from Polco. Email addresses are not sold or shared with other parties, for any reason, ever; not even our own staff and elected officials have access to this information

How will you protect my information? Polco is committed to a strict privacy policy—they only share anonymous, combined results. Participants’ individual data and votes are never shared.

What if I already took the survey? If you received a survey invitation from us in the mail and took the survey that way, please DO NOT take the open participation survey. It is very important that you complete that version (and access the survey using the URL provided in the mailed materials) rather than responding to the open participation survey/link.
