First priority routes are main streets (emergency access) and school access routes. Second priority routes include side streets and sidewalks. Third priority routes are alleys, cul-de-sacs, parking lots, and trails. Finally, plows continue slushing, sanding, and applying ice slicer.

The City generally begins repairing potholes in late spring after the spring thaw. The City is not responsible for potholes on private property, such as grocery stores, churches, professional buildings, etc.
For potholes on Highways 24 or 67, please contact the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) at www.cdot.gov.
The City begins street sweeping in late spring after all the snow melts. The streets are swept as needed, before City parades and street events, and when excess sand is reported. Please give the sweeper plenty of distance because it does throw debris.
The City clears snow from sidewalks that are routes to schools, as well as those associated with City parks, buildings, and grounds. The City does not clear snow from private property.
The City starts plowing when snow accumulation reaches 4 inches.
Please shovel or plow the snow from your driveway to the SIDE of your driveway onto your yard, NOT into the City street. In accordance with Colorado State law and City municipal code, it is unlawful to push snow into City right-of-way. Additionally, the City is not responsible for clearing the windrow left by plows at the end of your driveway along the street. We suggest clearing your driveway AFTER the plow goes through.
