MAINTENANCE WORKER II – UTILITIES – FIELD SERVICES    The City of Woodland Park Utilities Department is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Worker II position in the Field Services Division.

Primary duties include water meter installation, meter reading, utility locates, repair of water and wastewater pipelines, high water use investigations, fire hydrant maintenance and repair, sewer cleaning and videoing, water and sewer main taps. Normal workweek is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Periodic on-call duty and emergency work required.  Maximum 40 minute emergency response time required.

Must have high school diploma or GED, ability to routinely lift 70 lb, valid driver’s license, Class B CDL or ability to achieve in 6 months, good driving record, and ability to achieve water distribution and wastewater collection certifications within 1 year. Two years of related experience desired.

This position is a Grade 6 with a hiring salary range of $38,459 – $45,190, DOQ

WATER TREATMENT OPERATOR – UTILITIES – WATER    The City of Woodland Park Utilities Department is accepting applications for a full-time Water Treatment Plant position in the Water Department.

This position is at the surface water treatment plant, well fields, and pump stations. Previous experience in water treatment or distribution, and water certification are highly desired. Qualifications requires a candidate be able to interpret and implement precise regulations and test procedures, as well as an interest in and aptitude for math, science, mechanical equipment and electronic controls. Must be detail oriented and have interpersonal and communications skills to professionally represent the City for water customer inquiries and complaints and the ability to apply good judgment working alone and as part of a professional team of operators. Position requires routine on-call duty and 40 minute maximum emergency response.

Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license and a good driving record, basic computer skills, ability to lift 70 lb. without strain, climb ladders, and work inside and outside. Non-smoking environment.
