Accounting/Finance/Sales Tax Technician – The City of Woodland Park is accepting applications for a full time Accounting/Finance/ Sales Tax Technician. The ideal candidate will be an organized self-starter that is a team player with an eye for detail and an ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Duties include a variety of high-level, complex clerical and accounting functions as required to maintain financial and sales tax computerized records and deals with detailed record and information management. Performs clerical accounting duties in the areas of bank account reconciliations, sales/use tax, and business licensing. Prepares sales/use tax determination of delinquencies and follows through to compliance with the sales tax code and collection. Assists Finance Director and Accountant in all aspects of accounting functions for the City including budget monitoring and preparation, monthly journal entries and preparing financial reports for management monthly/as requested.

High school diploma or equivalent with course background in accounting, bookkeeping or some other related field. Extensive 3 to 5 years progressively responsible related work experience providing training and practical bookkeeping or accounting, 2 years of which must have been within the auditing/accounting/bookkeeping department, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, accounting, data processing or one year equivalent experience. Excellent analytical, organizational, and clerical skills a must, along with ability to communicate effectively with employees, departments and the public, and the ability to work independently with confidence, a must.

Maintenance Worker II – Public Works – Streets -The City of Woodland Park Public Works Department is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Worker II in the Streets Department.Duties include operating motorized construction equipment, truck driving and manual labor required associated with the construction, repair and maintenance of City streets and drainage infrastructure. Work includes installing and cleaning culverts, snowplowing and sanding, digging and backfilling graves, installing drainage structures and rip rap in channels, installing erosion control Best Management Practices (BMP’s), sweeping asphalt streets, repairing potholes and cracks in asphalt, installing major asphalt patches, ditching, and installing street signs. Must possess basic knowledge of MUTCD standards. Drives trucks of various sizes and weights in the loading, hauling and unloading of various equipment, gravel and sand.

AQUATICS MANAGER – WOODLAND AQUATIC CENTER    The City of Woodland Park is accepting applications for a full-time Aquatics Manager for the Woodland Aquatic Center.  This position will manage and oversee all operations of the Woodland Aquatic Center.  The manager will perform a variety of general administrative and supervisory duties needed to organize and coordinate the day-to-day operations, maintenance and administration of the facility. The Aquatic Manager will have thorough knowledge of operation and maintenance for all pool equipment.

Requirements include strong leadership and organization skills, ability to supervise, train and certify employees, excellent customer service and communication skills.  Applicants must have working knowledge of budget preparation, cost estimating, monitoring and fiscal management, knowledge of federal, state and local regulations for the operations of public swimming pools, and ability to work flexible and additional work hours.

A Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Physical Education or related field preferred; or Four years of increasingly responsible experience in recreation services including two years in a supervisory or leadership role in the operation and maintenance of an indoor aquatics facility.  Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator Certification or the ability to obtain the certification within the first six months of employment.  First Aid and CPR certifications.  American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Lifeguard Training Instructor (LGI), Water Park Instructor and First Aid and CPR Instructor or the ability to obtain certifications within first six months of employment.

MAINTENANCE WORKER II – UTILITIES – FIELD SERVICES    The City of Woodland Park Utilities Department is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Worker II position in the Field Services Division.

Primary duties include water meter installation, meter reading, utility locates, repair of water and wastewater pipelines, high water use investigations, fire hydrant maintenance and repair, sewer cleaning and videoing, water and sewer main taps. Normal workweek is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Periodic on-call duty and emergency work required.  Maximum 40 minute emergency response time required.

Must have high school diploma or GED, ability to routinely lift 70 lb, valid driver’s license, Class B CDL or ability to achieve in 6 months, good driving record, and ability to achieve water distribution and wastewater collection certifications within 1 year. Two years of related experience desired.
